The Bridewell Museum

The museum of Norwich life and work, housed in a former Bridewell.

It’s all change at The Bridewell!

The museum is undergoing an exciting £1.5m redevelopment project to refurbish the building and refresh our displays. The museum is scheduled to re-open in summer 2011.

What's changing?

The building will be made more accessible with a new entrance, lifts to the upper floors and great new visitor facilities. During this work, we are busy talking to local people about what they want to see.

What will be on display?

We want to tell the story of Norwich and its people, using firm favourites from The Bridewell collection as well as more superb stuff from the museum stores.

How can we be involved or stay up to date?
